Pastor Jeremy & his wife Alyssa have been at Grace Community Chapel since 2014. In July 2020 Jeremy was added to the Elder Board and in October 2021 was voted in as the Fulltime Elder/Pastor of Grace Community Chapel.
Jeremy grew up in Northeast Ohio going to church at Huntsburg Baptist Church (HBC) for most of his childhood. Jeremy felt the call of God on his life into full-time ministry when he was 14 and after discussing this with his youth pastor was introduced to Baptist Bible College and Seminary (BBC&S) in Clarks Summit PA. Upon high school graduation, he decided to follow what he believed to be the Lord’s leading in attending BBC&S.
Jeremy attended BBC&S during the years 2007-2011 where he graduated with a BS Degree in Bible & Youth Ministry. During this time Jeremy met Alyssa the college ‘Concert Choir’ pianist. In 2009 Jeremy & Alyssa decided that they would get married and were married back at Alyssa’s home church Lisbon Falls Baptist Church, Lisbon Maine.
After graduation, Jeremy & Alyssa served a local church in Scranton, PA while Jeremy was employed at a nearby warehouse. Two years after graduation Jeremy was able to find a job working in Social work- Section 65 (Home Community Treatment) out of Brunswick, Maine. Jeremy continued his employment there for four years and God opened a door for him to transition to Sales with Maine Natural Gas, while Alyssa grew her Piano and Voice Studio.
When Jeremy & Alyssa moved up to Maine in 2013 they went searching for a church that held to Biblical Theology and where they felt God was leading them. After attending Grace Community Chapel for the first time, they both knew that was where they wanted to call home and by March of 2014, they became members of the Church.
Now, Alyssa has continued to expand her studio and has been teaching students for more than 9 years. Playing music and listening to music is one of her favorite pastimes and serves in the music ministry at Grace. Jeremy loves to read and listen to podcasts and will be found doing it at any time of the day. Alyssa and Jeremy both enjoy playing board games, hiking, camping, and spending time with friends and family alike.
